Job description: The purpose of this position is to ensure that all areas of the castle, offices, event spaces and visitor areas are kept clean, safe and presentable, while protecting the historical heritage of Bran Castle.

The cleaning staff is responsible for:

- Maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Protecting historical artifacts and furniture
- Reporting any damage or safety issues
- Supporting event preparation and cleanup
- Compliance with hygiene and safety procedures

Cleaning staff can be assigned to the following areas:

-The interior rooms of the castle
- Exhibition halls
- Stairs and corridors
- Tea House
- Administrator's House
- Guest house
- Offices and administrative areas
- Visitor toilets / staff toilets
- Castle courtyard and outdoor areas
- Event spaces (Music Room, Lawn Front Castle, etc.)

Daily Cleaning Activities

- Opening Cleaning (Before visitors arrive)
- Inspection of assigned areas
- Removing dust from:
- Furniture
- Skirting
- Railings
- Sweeping or vacuuming floors
- Washing floors where permitted
- Cleaning glass surfaces and mirrors
- Sanitizing visitor toilets
- Emptying trash cans and replacing bags
- Checking consumables:
- Soap
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels

During the visiting program

Cleaning staff must:
- Monitor cleanliness in public areas
- Clean the toilets regularly
- Empty trash cans when they are full.
- Clean up spills or any potential hazards immediately
- Intervene to maintain cleanliness in crowded areas

Always avoid disturbing visitors.

End-of-program cleaning
- Emptying all trash cans
- Washing floors if necessary
- Thorough cleaning of bathrooms
- Checking and properly storing cleaning equipment
- Reporting any issues to supervisor

Cleaning for Events (Weddings / Private Dinners etc.)

Before the event
- Preparing the space for the event
- Cleaning tables, chairs and floors
- Checking toilets

During the event
- Monitoring cleanliness
- Discreet garbage collection

After the event

- Garbage removal
- Cleaning the floors
- Rearranging furniture if it has been moved
- Reporting any damage

Cleaning Equipment

Staff can use:

- Vacuum cleaner
- Mop and bucket
- Microfiber cloths
- Disinfectant solutions
- Window solutions
- Dust removal tools

Do not use strong chemicals near historical objects.

Safety Rules

- Wearing protective gloves
- Using "Wet Floor" indicators when mopping the floor
- Don't move historical artifacts.
- Report damaged items immediately
- Follow fire safety rules

Reporting Problems

Report immediately if you notice:
- Damaged furniture
- Water leaks
- Electrical problems
- Damaged exhibits
- Safety hazards

Reporting is done to Facility Supervisor

Professional Conduct

All cleaning staff must:
- Uniform gate
- Be polite to visitors
- Respects historic areas
- Respect the castle rules
