Known worldwide as the legendary “Dracula’s Castle”, Bran Castle is one of Romania’s most iconic monuments, attracting visitors from all corners of the world. With a history spanning centuries, the Castle offers guests a unique combination of heritage, culture and myth.

Position Description: Bran Castle is looking for a qualified Groundskeeper, responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of Bran Castle, to ensure a safe, clean and attractive environment for visitors. This role supports the preservation of a historic site and contributes to providing an excellent experience for tourists throughout the year.

• Maintenance of lawns, gardens, alleys, yards and green spaces

• Pruning, grooming, watering and fertilizing plants, trees and shrubs

• Removal of leaves, snow, plant debris and waste from outdoor areas

• Maintaining walkways, stairs and access routes in safe conditions for visitors

• Supporting seasonal planting and landscaping activities

• Use and maintenance of gardening and maintenance equipment and tools

• Prompt reporting of damage, hazards or maintenance issues

• Supporting set-up and tear-down activities for outdoor events, when necessary

• Compliance with safety, environmental protection and heritage conservation regulations

Minimum requirements:

• Previous experience in green space maintenance, gardening or outdoor maintenance activities – an advantage

• Basic knowledge of plants, landscaping and seasonal maintenance work

• Ability to use basic tools and equipment for green space maintenance

• Good physical condition and availability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Attention to detail and respect for the historical environment

• Ability to work both independently and in a team

• Working on weekends and holidays, depending on the visiting schedule
